Sasja Haeck

Sasja Haeck is a Dutch mezzo-soprano and creator based in Amsterdam. As both a performer and maker, she is driven by collaboration and connection. As she describes it: “I am always searching for connection — in music, but also between people. Alongside my performing work I enjoy helping others grow and bringing artists together.”

Recent operatic appearances include La Ciesca in Gianni Schicchi at the Netherlands Lyric Opera Festival (2025) and Goffredo in Rinaldo at l’Académie Lyrique (2024). During her studies at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester she performed Baba/Madame Flora in The Medium, and in 2020 appeared as Christian child in the opera film The Other by Opera Spanga.

She has also been active in a wide range of ensemble and chorus productions, including Aida and Carmen at Opera Spanga, Fidelio and Das Wunder der Heliane with the Reisopera, and Animal Farm, which was performed both at Dutch National Opera and the Vienna State Opera. She will reprise this production in Vienna in 2026.

Alongside her operatic work, Sasja performs in a voice–piano duo with Adelina Gansvind. Together they are developing a programme exploring the topic of identity, which will premiere in 2026.

Beyond performing, Sasja is active as a creator, director, and assistant director. Recent projects include assisting on Over Tijd with Salix Kameropera. In 2026 she will work as an assistant director on Le Nozze di Figaro at Dutch National Opera & Ballet.

Sasja is also the founder of (F)Luister Muziektheater, a platform through which she brings her creative visions to life. In her productions she combines classical music and theatre in distinctive ways. Her first production, De Macht van het Kleine, was a theatre performance with live music. Initiatives such as Opera Mic Night offer emerging professional singers a stage to perform, expand their network and meet like-minded artists, while also creating accessible moments for audiences to experience opera in a new way.
